I’m finally here to talk to you about my wonderful vacation experience in San Diego. I’ve been promising this post for awhile, and well, here it is!
Over Thanksgiving weekend, my boyfriend and I decided to take our dogs on what we called a “pupcation.” ..And it was truly that! If you’re not familiar with San Diego, it’s a very pet-friendly city. There are tons of dog parks, restaurants with dog-friendly patios, and pet-friendly hotels. It seemed like the perfect city to take our sweet puppies, and it turned out to be wonderful.
Now, if you follow my blog, you’ve already met my Maltipoo Harley. My boyfriend has a Lab named Bear, and strangely enough, despite the size difference, they are the best of friends.
Here are some of the many activities that we did over our vacay:
Firstly, let’s talk about the hotel. If you ever get the chance to stay at the Bristol: do! It’s beautiful and luxurious, the staff is nice, and it’s comfortable from the shower to the bed.
Here is a view of the room. Nice and spacious for Harley to run around.
There was no question that our furry friends were welcome here.
The lobby is very elegant.
We never had to wait for our car in the lobby because of this awesome tablet in our room. You could order and request whatever you needed right here.
We arrived in San Diego in the AM, and our first stop was brunch at the Park House Eatery. It was trendy and very yummy!
I had the fanciest coffee ever.
We later took the pups for their own treats at The Original Paw Pleasers Bakery. They loved their cookies and ice cream.
Then, we headed over to Seaport Village for some ocean-side shopping.
We met a nice local in the hammock store who chatted us up as we relaxed in the hammocks. Bear wanted to join too.
We ended the trip by stopping to have lunch at the place that was the real reason we chose San Diego as our destination. Two words: Brazen Barbecue. Best barbecue ever. PERIOD. Hands down. You HAVE to try it.
If you’re thinking about taking a trip to San Diego, you definitely should! And take the pups with you! Hope this post helps you get an idea for some activities you can do while you are there.
Just a heads up, in 9 days, I will be flying to London where I’ll be spending a semester! Make sure to stay tuned so that you can share my adventure with me! So excited for all the wonderful things to come this year!
